Read the category policy
Google distinguishes restricted healthcare categories from content it does not permit. Its unapproved-substances policy applies to ads and destinations. Check the relevant category before planning a campaign.
Build an evidence file
Collect product details, target markets and any required business documentation. Record which requirements apply to the proposed campaign. Do not assume a competitor running ads proves your offer is eligible.
Audit the customer path
Review product claims, price, shipping information and checkout. Confirm that the campaign destination represents the real offer accurately. Keep a list of changes and who owns each one.
Launch only an agreed scope
Once suitability is established, decide the initial campaign, keywords, budget and measurement plan. Schedule a review point and keep the starting configuration for later comparison.
Put this review into practice
A store review should identify which exact product is being promoted and which country will receive the ad. Save the relevant policy URL with the proposed destination and any applicable certification question. Do not assume that another store’s active ad answers those questions for your offer.
Your working checklist
- Classify the actual product and intended use.
- Record the target country.
- Check the current policy and documentation requirements.
- Review the destination and linked product pages.
